After 17 years as president of UNFD, trade union for fruit and vegetable marketers, Gilles Vignaud has chosen to devote himself fully to his responsibilities as president of Interfel, having been re-elected in May.
Following his decision, the board of directors met on 15 June to elect vice-president Francis Van Der Elst as the new head of UNFD.
Mr Van Der Elst, who is also the president of the Le Fruitier network of independent shops that specialise in fruit and vegetables, promised to “make the profession of the specialist retailer one of his main concerns”.
