Univeg Katopé UK has announced that it has received the first arrivals of new-season table grapes direct from Univeg's own farm in Brazil.
Fazenda Europa is one of the largest grape farms in the South American country, covering around 150ha. Situated in the São Francisco Valley, the farm has its own microclimate and water supply, which the group said helped produce the 'sensational tasting grapes'.
The farm sells Sunworld-branded grapes around the globe, including varieties such as Sable & Midnight Beauty, while unbranded varieties are also exported such as Crimson, Thompson, Sugraone and others.
The main Brazilian grape season runs from October through to January, with Univeg receiving regular deliveries.
