The United Fresh Produce Association has announced its nominations of new board officers and directors for the 2013/14 period, all of which will come into effect at the group's 14 May meeting in San Diego.
United Fresh past chairman Reggie Griffin made the announcement this week, highlighting the fact that Ron Midyett, CEO of Apio Inc, would be stepping into the role of chairman come May, replacing David Krause who shifts to immediate past chairman.
Nominated as chairman-elect is Ron Carkoski of Four Seasons Family of Companies, with Lorri Koster of Mann Packing Company taking on the role of secretary-treasurer.
New board members will include Bill Brim, Bob Elliott, Fred Heptinstall, Bob Kirch, Joe Klare, Gordon Robertson, Michael Spinazzola and Bob Swartwout.
'In total, the slate of nominees for our consolidated board of directors, together with our returning board members and new officers, makes this a tremendously skilled and diverse set of leaders to represent our entire industry and guide our association in the year ahead,' said United president and CEO Tom Stenzel.
