Prepared food specialist Bakkavör has announced that its earnings before interest, depreciation, taxation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 9 per cent for the quarter ended 31 March, up to £23m (€29m).
According to a statement from the Iceland-based group, its performance – which included like-for-like sales growth of 3.1 per cent – was helped by a positive UK performance, particularly in the field of soups and ready meals, just-food reported.
'We have continued to build on the momentum from the previous quarter with strong-like-for-like growth in sales helping to drive an additional £1.9m (€2.4m) of adjusted EBITDA.'
