Bonduelle

French prepared foods specialist Bonduelle has announced positive figures for the opening half of fiscal 2012/13, with turnover climbing 11.3 per cent to €979.3m.

For the period covering 1 July 2012 to 31 December 2012, the company's Europe zone brought in €629.9m, while its non-Europe zone registered turnover of €349.4m.

Fresh processed foods made up €185.1m of the half-year figure, growing fractionally at 0.1 per cent at current exchange rates, Bonduelle said.

The overall result was driven in particular by a strong second quarter period, which saw turnover grow 15 per cent year-on-year to €530.9m.

'Q2 performance allows the group to confirm its annual turnover objectives of 8 per cent and an operational profitability of 5 per cent to 10 per cent for full-year 2012/2013,' the group added.
