French fresh-cut specialist Bonduelle has recorded a significant increase in turnover for the year ended 30 June 2008, of €1.49bn. This represents an increase of 18.9 per cent compared to the previous year’s €1.25bn.
The growth can largely be attributed to Bonduelle’s acquisition of Canadian vegetables processor Aliments Carrière in July 2007.
The company says the increase also reflects the group's ability to sustain its position despite a marked slowdown in consumption in the European Union in the fourth quarter, due to poor weather conditions and the credit crunch.
