A host of high-profile figures and fresh produce trade representatives will participate in the opening ceremony of Fruit Logistica 2010, which takes place on 2 February 2010 at 6pm in Saal 2 of the ICC Berlin, Germany.
Guest speakers include Ana Graciela Aguilar Antuñano, chief executive director of Apoyos y Servicios a la Comercialización Agropecuaria in Mexico, Emmanuel Jacquin, head of the European Commission Fresh Produce unit, and Dr Christian Göke, chief operating officer of event organiser Messe Berlin.
Keynote speaker at the opening ceremony will be Oliver Weidner, director of international quality management at retail group Lidl in Germany.
Following the opening ceremony, there will be a reception in the main foyer of the ICC Berlin hosted by Mexico, the official Fruit Logistica 2010 partner country.
The official opening tour of Fruit Logistica 2010, featuring Parliamentary State Secretary, German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection Julia Klöckner and Dr Göke, commences at 10am on 3 February.
