One of Europe's leading fresh produce companies, Univeg, has announced the appointment of Theo de Kool as its chief financial officer, as of 15 March 2010.
As CFO based at the group's headquarters in Belgium, Mr De Kool will be responsible for a range of financial, legal and ICT functions at the Univeg group of companies.
Having most recently served as CFO of global consumer goods supplier Sara Lee Corporation, based in Chicago, Mr De Kool is said to bring with him a wealth of unique and relevant experience.
He also previously served as CFO at Sara Lee-Douwe Egberts and Blokker in the Netherlands.
'We are all delighted that Theo is joining Univeg,' said the company's chief executive Rudi De Becker. 'With his expertise and experience he will make a great contribution to Univeg's success.'
Mr De Kool holds a Masters degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
