Executives from leading fruit and vegetable supplier The Greenery havejust completed a 'road show' tour of the UK's wholesale vegetablemarkets to introduce a new support package available to its wholesaledistributor Total Produce.
In October 2007, Total Produce and The Greenery announced a newarrangement for supplying The Greenery's Dutch salads and vegetables towholesale markets in the UK. The arrangements included the sale toTotal Produce of The Greenery's UK wholesale market operations and gaveThe Greenery access to all of Total Produce's wholesale outlets in theUK.
Now the new arrangements have been further strengthened with improvedlogistics, which include daily delivery of fresh vegetable and saladproducts. New The Greenery branded point of sale displays are alsobeing installed on Total Produce's wholesale market outlets.
Kevin Doran, managing director of The Greenery in the UK, said:'Working closely with Total Produce is giving The Greenery nationalaccess to the wholesale markets for our salads and vegetables andenabling us to increase our market share in this important sector.'

The Greenery is one of Europe's major producers and importers offresh fruit and vegetables with an average annual turnover of €1.9 bn.It supplies produce to almost all of the major UK supermarkets and tosimilar outlets in Europe, North America and the Far East.
Total Produce has wholesale operations in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff,Edinburgh, Gateshead, Glasgow, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester,Norwich, Nottingham, Sheffield, Southampton, Stoke, Wigan andWolverhampton.
