The Greenery has announced appointment of Pascal Piepers as its new retail director, position he will take up on 1 June 2016.
According to the company, Piepers will work to develop the commercial strategy in The Greenery's core markets of the Netherlands, Germany and the UK.
The retail director bears responsibility for continuing to boost turnover in traditional retail channels and for directing strategy in other channels, including out-of-home and online sales.
'Our strategy is aimed at optimal, sustainable end-to-end cooperation with retail customers in our core markets of the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom,' said chief executive Steven Martina. 'We are also continuously adding value to the products we offer our retail customers through innovation and marketing.
'We are fully confident that Pascal Pieper's breadth of professional experience will contribute to attaining the desired growth in volume and results,' he added.
Piepers has a great deal of experience in both the logistical sector and the retail industry, having previously held a number of management positions with Schuitema BV, while he has also been employed as general manager of Hollander Barendrecht, a subsidiary of The Greenery, since 2013.
