Thai agricultural experts have recently inspected Chilean fruit facilities, as authorities from both countries work towards finalising Chile-to-Thailand export protocols for apples, grapes, kiwifruit and cherries, reports freshfruitportal.com.
Thai quarantine and agronomist officials visited plantations in Chile's Curicó province, checking inspection and phytosanitary certification methods to be used for exports to Thailand, the article said.
They also inspected a state laboratory and quarantine station, as well as fruit facilities at the port of Valparaiso.
Chile's Agriculture and Livestock Service (SAG) is reportedly now assessing Thai requirements.
