Leading UK retailer Tesco is set to reshuffle its domestic fresh food management, according to reports, as it strives to improve its fortunes at home.
Fresh food commercial director Andrew Yaxley is set to leave his position after two years in the role, as he prepares to take up a new management job, Reuters reported.
Yaxley's role will be incorporated into that of John Scouter, Tesco's UK commercial director for grocery, household goods, alcohol, tobacco and petrol.
'Improving the range and quality of Tesco's food offer is a key part of its strategy to attract more British shoppers and stem a decline in its British market share,' a spokesperson explained.
'Andrew's development programme is just one example of this and it happens at every level of the business.'
