More than 1,500 avocado industry professionals are gathering in Medellín this week for the third edition of Territorio Aguacate.
The two-day event, which takes place at the Plaza Mayor International Convention and Exhibition Centre on 2 and 3 December, features conferences, specialised talks, an exhibition and a business forum.
It has attracted growers, investors, marketers, exporters, certifiers, agronomists and union leaders from across Colombia, as well as from Mexico, Peru and Chile, among other countries who want to learn about the Hass avocado value chain.
Among the key themes being discussed at this year’s event are sustainability, productivity, success stories, added value and marketing.
Territorio Aguacate will also feature the awarding of the 'Sustainable Hass' seal recognising the sustainability and social responsibility efforts of organisations, producers and exporters within the sector.
