As part of its growing commitment to the Canadian market, Tanimura & Antle has announced the addition of Martin Desrochers and B. Terry Lindemann to its team to deepen current customer relationships and build new partnerships in the region.
Mr Desrochers will lead the Canadian team from his Montreal office where he will manage sales and marketing services for both retail and foodservice customers in Canada. Mr Lindemann, meanwhile, is based in Calgary and will focus on retailers in western Canada and foodservice operations throughout the country.
Both men are industry veterans who bring a wide breadth of experience to their posts, according to the company. Mr Desrochers has 16 years of experience in sales and management as past owner of HydroSerre Mirabel Inc. Mr Lindemann’s experience includes more than 30 years working with Bridge Brand Food Service, Markon and Gordon Food Service.
“There is no doubt that Terry will play a major role in increasing our sales in Western Canada. Martin is helping us foster stronger working relationships with our Canadian partners,” said CEO, Rick Antle. “Martin’s leadership, paired with our production innovations as well as our realigned sales and marketing initiatives, our goal is to increase our market share in Canada.”
In the last 12 months, Tanimura & Antle has invested in operational improvements and introduced new products. These milestones include the introduction of Artisan Lettuce, Artisan Sweet Red Onions, Living Lettuce as well as the KWIKTrak’r technology – its PTI and food safety solution. The addition of Mr Desrochers and Mr Lindemann is one more way the company continues to meet the demands of the market, according to the company
“Our day to day operating functions continue to be conducted from our Salinas, California, office under the direction and supervision of Bob Antle, however, Martin Desrochers will be our lead man in Canada,” said Mr Antle.
