French retailer Système U is continuing its efforts to improve price transparency of fresh produce items by utilising stickers to illustrate the breakdown of the final price, reports Lsa.fr.

Following its decision last November to include such information for packaged apples, the chain has now turned its attention to kiwifruit, cultivated without the use of pesticides, with potatoes reportedly next.

CEO Serge Papin took to Twitter to announce the news, which he said was the start of a response to the question of how to position agriculture between organic and conventional.
