Syngenta Vegetable Seeds has announced the dates for its Fields of Innovation event, which will take place on 28 September – 1 October in The Netherlands.
This year’s event will offer attendees the option to attend in person or virtually, utilising technology to experience the very best that Syngenta Vegetable Seeds has to offer.
'Every day Syngenta strives to ensure growers have the best quality seeds to help feed the world,' the group outlined. 'Growers large and small face increasing challenges caused by changes in our environment – volatile climate conditions, severe soil erosion and increasing biodiversity loss. Additionally, they must manage evolving consumer expectations and views on agricultural technology.
'Fields of Innovation will spotlight our efforts to provide solutions to help growers overcome these challenges.'
According to Syngenta, its varieties at Fields of Innovation have been selected specifically to help promote sustainable business growth for growers and the whole value chain.
In honour of the United Nations General Assembly designating 2021 as the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables', the company is showcasing more crops than ever before.
These include white cabbage, red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, pointed cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, iceberg lettuce, babyleaf, romaine, spinach, beans, peas, sweetcorn, onions and more.
This year’s event will feature an exclusive, invitation-only experience to visit the field in person, helping support a safe environment for all attendees.
Syngenta explained that those receiving invitations could expect a customised visit, highlighting innovations that suit their needs, such as brassica varieties for Africa or onions for Northern Europe.
The event is open to everyone virtually with the opportunity to experience Syngenta’s crops and varieties digitally.
