Super-Sol, Israel's largest grocery retailer, has reported on a strong third quarter of the year during which revenues and net profit soared.
The group revealed that net profit more than doubled on a year-on-year basis, up to ILS70m (€13.9m) from ILS32m (€6.3m) in 2011, with the result boosted by a one-time gain of ILS17m (€3.4m) from a real estate sales.
Revenue rose to ILS3.04bn (€603m) from ILS3bn (€595m), while sale-store sales dropped 0.4 per cent, alhtought results in the third quarter of 2011 were impacted by consumer protests and boycotts.
