Dutch grocer Sperwer has announced that it has made an offer of €516m (€4.50 per share) for the acquisition of all shares of Super de Boer.
Super de Boer had revealed that Sperwer intended to make a public offer for the group, but added that it was also prepared to acquire all the assets and liabilities of the retailer, depending on which transaction structure would prove preferable.
'Sperwer confirms that it intends to make a public offer for all shares of Super de Boer for an amount of €4.50 per share in cash,' the group said in a statement.
The offer is higher than that made by Jumbo last week, which amounted to €480m.
