Stockton Group Timorex Gold

Stockton Group, the Israel-based crop protection specialist, has announced that the active ingredient in its flagship Timorex Gold product has received final approval from the European Union to be included in Annex 1 – the certificate relating to the level of active ingredient in the product.

Stockton is now undergoing the second phase, called Annex 3, relating to the final product – a process that is expected to be completed in 2017 and one that, once approved, should lead to ten years of protection.

“EU approval is an important milestone for Timorex Gold,' said Ziv Tirosh, CEO of the Stockton Group. 'This is a significant confirmation of our product’s platform, paving the way for the flow of our new and innovative products and for sustainable crop protection.

'Very few companies attempt to obtain these EU certifications because of the high hurdle involved, and the long, very complex and expensive process,' he added. 'More than that, even fewer companies are successful because of the knowledge and level required. European market certification is extremely important for our product, and we anticipate a great commercial future for our product in this significant market.'

Timorex Gold is a plant extract-based bio-fungicide, approved for use in organic and conventional agriculture in over 25 countries, including most countries of Central and South America, Australia, Canada, the Philippines and Serbia.

Timorex Gold is active on a variety of diseases in many crops such as bananas, grapes, tomatoes, cucumbers and more.
