Fepex has posted a 5 per cent year-on-year rise in the value of Spain's fresh produce exports between January and August.
The Spanish Federation of Producers and Exporters of Fruit, Vegetables, Flowers and Live Plants reported total sendings worth €3.776bn.
Fepex's figures for August showed an 11 per cent surge in the value of exports to €518m, with volumes leaping 28 per cent beyond the same month in 2011 to 662,000 tonnes.
