Chile, Peru and Argentina are planning to use participation at Asia Fruit Logistica 2011 in Hong Kong on 7-9 September as a key marketing element in their expansion efforts in the region.
As the three fresh produce powerhouses make solid inroads into the Asian market, the nations’ biggest companies and associations will be present via country pavilions.
Many exhibiting countries have significantly expanded the size of their pavilions for this year, with Argentina and Peru among those with the biggest increases by up 60 per cent and 48 per cent respectively.
The Chileans will also be out in force again, with around 40 companies representing most of the nation’s fresh fruit industry expected to convene on a 112m2 pavilion.
Peru also features in a special conference session at the Asiafruit Congress 2011 to look at what the country has to offer for Asian buyers in recognition of the nation’s rapidly developing fresh produce industry and growing interest in Asia.
And for the very first time, the Uruguayan fruit industry will also be represented with a stand hosted by the nation’s leading citrus supplier Citrícola Salteña (Caputto).
