Soriana has reported a decline in first-quarter profit to 770m pesos, from 794m pesos in 2010, according to Reuters.

Same-store sales were down 2 per cent, a decline the company blamed on the late Easter holiday, which this year fell outside the January-March period.
Revenue rose from 22.25bn pesos to 22.4bn pesos.
