Sligro

Dutch grocery retailer Sligro has reported on sales growth of 4.6 per cent during the first three months of the year, climbing to €560m on the same period last year.

In its results for the 13-week period, Sligro revealed that organic sales growth stood at 1.5 per cent, with sales – excluding the impact of the 2010 Easter holiday – 2.7 per cent higher.

Like-for-like growth at supermarket chain Emté and the Sanders banner that the group acquired in 2010 stood at 3.7 per cent, with the number of Emté stores up by 14 in the quarter to 104.
