international fresh produce packaging group Sirane looked to increase its presence in the South African market by putting feelers out at the recent IFEA show in Johannesburg.
The inaugural show proved a 'great success' for the group, it said, with Sirane's innovative products designed to add value the 'real talking points' on the group's stand.
“We had a wide variety of visitors to the stand and some very positive enquiries, including some major companies,' said the group's Southern African director Stacey Loader. 'But it was interesting to talk to all the people who came and share our innovations with them – there was a real buzz.
“As we expected shelf-life was a hot-topic. Our Sira-Flex Shelf-Life bags and films had already generated a lot of interest, and it was no different at the IFEA show,' she added. 'These incredible bags – which are also available as whole lug/pallet liners – can significantly extend the shelf-life of fresh produce, and are a 100 per cent natural product.'
The group has, in the past 12 months, opened office and warehousing facilities in the country.
