Brittany-based cooperative Sica has revealed plans to invest some €100m over the next three years.
The group intends to construct two logistical platforms in order to facilitate the delivery of produce, according to L'Usine Nouvelle.
A total of 8ha has been acquired by the cooperative to complete this project in Saint-Pol-de-Léon and Plouédern.
In addition, Sica is involved in the creation of Combiwest, a company that will seek to exploit the freight railway line between Rennes and Lyon in order to speed up deliveries of fresh vegetables and lower logistical costs.
