Seald Sweet International has revealed that it has appointed three produce industry veterans to aid with the growth of its Californian operations.
'Galen Hamel and Gayle Smirnov have joined the company as sales account executives, bringing over 30 years of experience with extensive backgrounds in servicing accounts nationwide with a full produce range.
Meanwhile, Shann Blue has joined Seald Sweet as procurement specialist, with over 25 years of experience in field and grower management, with the aim of increasing regional volumes of citrus, grapes and other fresh produce and expanding the overall commodity base.
'We are excited about the expansion of our California operations and these additions to our team,' said Mayda Sotomayor, chief executive officer at Seald Sweet. 'We look forward to the success and growth this brings Seald sweet through the combined industry experience and new opportunities.'
Seald Sweet said that the appointments strengthened the group's overall position with Univeg, Seald Sweet's Belgium-based parent company.
