SeaLand is to expand its West Coast Central America (WCCA) offering with two new services from July, subject to regulatory approval.
The redesigned services now offer a direct connection to/from California to Costa Rica, as well as to/from Mexico to Costa Rica.
The first rotation will be: Los Angeles, Port Hueneme, Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Acajutla, Balboa, Paita, Guayaquil, Balboa, Caldera, Puerto Quetzal, Lazaro Cardenas, Ensenada.
The rotation of the second, WCCA2, will be: Long Beach, Oakland, Lazaro Cardenas, Corinto, Caldera, Balboa, Corinto, Acajutla, Lazaro Cardenas.
“The services’ redesigned rotations will provide competitive transit times, service reliability, and assist in serving the Intra-Americas market better,” SeaLand said in a press release.
The network now provides four sailings a week out of California including Long Beach, Oakland, Los Angeles and Hueneme, which specialises in servicing refrigerated cargo.
