Having already extended its activities in Perpignan last autumn, Brittany-based cooperative Savéol has signed an agreement to collaborate with the producers of Sica Les Primeurs du Mistral, which is based in Lançon de Provence.

This will add 20ha of greenhouse tomato production, strengthening the cooperative’s volumes, which stand at 75,000 tonnes.

Savéol has also gained a foothold in the south of France through its acquisition of the “Sud à la Bouche” brand, which is already used by Sica.

The cooperative equally announced the creation of a commercial branch, Savéol Sud, in Lançon de Provence. This move ties in with Savéol’s stated intention to close the gap between itself and the distributors and wholesalers of the south of France and thus minimise costs.
