SanLucar has announced the opening of an office in Dubai, in Jumeirah Lake Towers, as part of a strategy of strengthening its commitment in the Gulf and Middle East market.
“We are closer to our customers and can therefore respond to their needs even faster and more directly,” said Bilal Issa, who heads the new office.
Not only is Dubai an interesting market in itself for SanLucar, its status as the commercial hub for the entire region adds greatly to its significance.
“We want to help getting the fruit and vegetable sector in this region to a new level of quality,” said Michael Brinkmann, SanLucar’s CEO. “The demand for premium products is growing; with our know-how we can help retailers and wholesalers to offer high-quality fruit in an attractive form at the right time.”
SanLucar’s products are currently available in the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, with bananas, tomatoes and grapes among the most popular items on the market.
According to Issa, the SanLucar brand is becoming increasingly well known in the region, and the company is growing its list of customers, as well as its sales. This new presence is set to further accelerate such developments.
