Vegetable breeding group Rijk Zwaan will debut as an exhibitor at the upcoming Salón de Gourmets, one of Europe's leading culinary trade shows, which takes place at Ifema in Madrid on 5-8 March this year.
According to the Dutch group, the event offers it the chance to present its innovative vegetable varieties and concepts to a range of organisations, with the trade fair traditionally attracting 80,000 attendees from across Europe.
Highlights of the Rijk Zwaan stand include the MyCubies snack cucumbers, the Mellisimo melon concept and Salanova lettuce, all products with convenience in mind.
Rijk Zwaan will also use the event to promote its lovemysalad.com concept, the online platform that was recently honoured with the runners-up prize in the Fruit Logistica Innovation Awards.
