Dutch fresh produce company Fruitmasters has confirmed that its general director Rian Verwoert is to leave the group by mutual consent and with immediate effect.
According to a statement released by the company, the chairman of Fruitmasters' supervisory board Rien van Doorn will handle all of Mr Verwoert's duties and responsibilities.
'Fruitmasters thanks Rian for the dedication and insight with which he has managed the cooperative in recent years,' said a spokesperson for the group.
'Under his leadership during this period, Fruitmasters has grown to become an international sales organisation in the field of trade and processing.'
The spokesperson added: 'As figurehead of the organisation, he managed to keep an eye on the interests of Fruitmasters growers in order to develop a modern cooperative with a solid foundation for the future.'
