Global transport, logistics and freight forwarding company Norbert Dentressangle has announced that it showed good resilience in the first quarter of 2012.
For the three-month period, the group saw total consolidated revenue grow 28 per cent to €958m from €750m in 2011, while organic growth stood at 1.4 per cent.
According to the group, transport recorded revenues of €522m, up 19 per cent, while the logistics segment jumped 35 per cent to 422m and freight forwarding revenue tripled to €32m.
'The first quarter confirms the market situation that we expected at the start of the year, ie business without much visibility but tending to firm up after the slight slowdown seen at the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012,' said CEO François Bertreau. 'Norbert Dentressangle generally held up well this quarter in terms of business and rigorous cost management.'
