Renar Apples has announced in a press release the signing of an agreement with Pomifrai Fruticultura to consolidate the two companies’ operations in order to create one of the three biggest apple suppliers in Brazil, with capacity to process and sell 100,000 tonnes of fruit per year.
“This operation combines Pomifrai’s expertise in production, processing and commercialisation of fruits with Renar’s tradition on the Brazilian apple market,” explained Renar chairman, Roberto Frey.
“The business of the two companies is complementary and will generate important synergies for the resulting company. This consolidation confirms Renar’s strategy in becoming one of the biggest and most important fruit companies in Brazil,” continued Mr Frey.
“This operation is positive for both companies, as it will allow a bigger generation of value for all shareholders by strengthening the operations on the market,” added Saverio Castellan Neto, chairman of Pomifrai.
