Annual fresh produce event Medfel took place last week in the southern French town of Perpignan, bringing together some 230 producers and transport and logistics specialists from the Mediterranean region.
This fourth edition saw an estimated 4,325 visitors attending, according to organisers, around 18 per cent more than last year's fair.
It also welcomed some 112 international buyers from 36 countries, including from southern hemisphere nations like Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay.
Over the two days, approximately 3,418 business-to-business meetings were held, in addition to 16 conferences and the Europêch' stonefruit forecasts for Europe.
