In the US, Ready Pac Foods has announced that its president and chief executive Michael Solomon is retiring from the group with immediate effect.
Solomon had been with Ready Pac since 2006, holding the positions of president and CEO since 2008, leading the company through 'several years of record performance' according to the group.
“I have decided that now since I have a strong senior executive on board to focus on the operations and financial aspects of the business, and one who complements an already strong management team, the time is right for me to retire from Ready Pac,' he explained. 'I look forward to spending more time with my wife and 2 and-a-half-year-old son”.
Phillip Theodore, who recently joined the company as chief operating officer, will now also assume the president and CEO responsibilities, the company noted.
“Michael has built a great team at Ready Pac and I am very excited to help lead the team,' added Theodore. 'This company has great employees, innovative products, collaborative distribution partners, and is well positioned for exciting growth.'
