French prepared salad specialist Bonduelle has reported on a solid third quarter of fiscal 2013/14, with turnover increasing 5.6 per cent on a like-for-like basis to €458.4m, or up 1.5 per cent after adjustment for currency exchange rates.
Despite an unfavourable calendar effect – with Easter falling in the fourth quarter – the Europe zone posted positive growth of 1.6 per cent over the third quarter.
Non-European sales continued to be a strong part of Bonduelle's improved performance, with growth accelerating by 15.1 per cent, driven by strong sales in North America and Brazil.
Meanwhile, Eastern Europe continues to show strong growth despite a geopolitical context affecting the consumption climate.
