David Schanzer Purfresh

Active atmosphere and supply chain management technology specialist Purfresh has announced the appointment of David Schanzer, chief executive officer of Plumrose USA, to its board of directors, bringing a broad range of strategic and operational insights to the group.

Schanzer boasts extensive experience; prior to Plumrose USA, he co-founded and was chief executive officer of Global Fresh Foods, a technology provider that naturally extends the shelf life of fresh proteins. Before Global Fresh Foods, he was group vice-president for Foster Farms, where he led retailmarketing and business units, foodservice sales and marketing, retail sales merchandisers, and research and development, while he has alsoheld senior positions at Kraft Foods, ConAgra Foods, and Fresh Express.

Schanzer joins Dr Fred Grauer, chairman, Bill Elmore, Jeb Miller, Mike Sherman and Dr Westcott on the Purfresh board of directors.
