Publix has reported sales of US$6.6bn for the second quarter of 2011, up 5.8 per cent on the same period in 2010.
The US supermarket chain's net earnings for Q2 2011 were US$382.4m, up 9.7 per cent on last year's figure.
These latest results take Publix's first-half 2011 sales to US$13.4bn, up 5.1 per cent on 2010, and its first-half earnings to US$780.5m, 9.5 per cent better than the previous year.
