Kiwifruit Vine Health (KVH) has announced that it has received a provisional Psa-V positive test result on an orchard near Te Karaka, in the north of the Poverty Bay region.
A verification process is currently underway, and if the result is confirmed, it will be the first confirmed case of Psa-V in the Poverty Bay region.
While the process is ongoing, KVH has established a provisional Te Karaka controlled area around the affected orchard, including 10 orchards in the Poverty Bay region.
The affected area in Te Karaka is some 70km from the closest infected orchard in the Opitiki area.
