Proseal has announced the launch of a new seal force system that increases the effectiveness of the sealing process while also achieving a reduction in air consumption compared with traditional high-speed tray sealing machinery.
The UK-based heat sealing specialist said that the new EcoSeal offers companies the opportunity to achieve 'significant energy savings', delivering both cost and environmental benefits.
Using patented EcoSeal technology, the seal force can be increased by up to 190 per cent over conventional sealing machinery while consuming only 30 per cent of the air required for a machine fitted with an equivalent standard pneumatic cylinder.
Proseal also noted that the EcoSeal system has the potential to increase machine productivity through a reduced seal time, in turn maximising production throughput.
'Our approach to machine development and new technology means we are constantly seeking to improve all aspects of our machines' performance,' said Proseal's Carl Phythian. 'We believe EcoSeal is a major breakthrough and as it enables companies to demonstrate a real commitment to environmental issues while at the same time delivering tangible improvements to the bottom line.'
