ProFrutal

The Argentinean fresh fruit trade is gearing up for a new national exhibition and conference event, ProFrutal, which will take place on 8-12 June in three different fruit production areas, including Alto Valle de Río Negro, Mendoza and Tucumán.

Organised by the South American country’s fruit associations, providers, exporters, importers and related organisations, ProFrutal will feature a trade show as well as conference sessions and seminars during the course of three days.

Argentina’s trade promotion agency Fundación ExportAr will also organise business meetings, which aim to put local topfruit, stonefruit, cherry, berry, table grape, fig, citrus and avocado exporters in contact with buyers from Russia, Italy, the US, Brazil and other countries.

“ProFrutal provides an excellent opportunity for companies to do business with Argentina’s fruit export sector,” the organisers told Fruitnet.com. “The event offers delegates the chance to visit Argentina’s key production regions and make direct contact with growers of various fruits all during one week.”

The scheduled conference sessions and seminars will feature both international and regional speakers and will focus on current and emerging trends within the fresh produce industry, such as consumer demands, traceability, pesticide residues, certification and innovation.

The full conference programme will be available by the end of the first quarter.
