French marketer Prince de Bretagne is currently promoting its broad summer range of vegetables, which includes more than 40 different varieties.
It is now peak season for the Castel variety of artichoke, which is known for its ability to resist the summer heat, and the company expects supplies to reach 100 tonnes a day in the coming two weeks.
Also available throughout August are Prince de Bretagne's Petit Violet artichokes, with production estimated at 3,000 boxes per day.
In addition to its range of organic vegetables, the marketer has equally been promoting its Mara des Bois strawberries, which are available until the autumn, with total production for the season estimated at 325 tonnes.
'Brittany is the ideal region for growing strawberries,' the company stated. 'Summer temperatures are never excessive and Prince de Bretagne producers can therefore offer quality strawberries.'
