Israeli growers

In Israel, prices of a number of fruits and vegetables fluctuated dramatically in the month of November, according to data from the Institute for Statistics, Israel Valley has reported.

Prices for cucumbers reportedly rose by 40 per cent, aubergines by 16 per cent, courgettes by 10 per cent, marrows by 9 per cent, prunes by 7 per cent and grapes by 6 per cent.

Products whose price fell significantly include beetroot (by 21 per cent), cabbage (12 per cent), chilli peppers (9 per cent) and lemons (8 per cent).
