Reporting to PMA CEO, Cathy Burns, Dan Stark (pictured) will provide leadership to the organisation’s marketing, communication and education arms.
Stark commenced the role in January, and brings along a diverse set of experience across the not-for-profit sector. He has previously led product strategy for a software development company, held a position as principal at a consultancy and is a former executive director of the American Public Gardens Association.
“We are thrilled to have Dan join our team,” said Burns. “His experience in digital transformation and content delivery will further enhance the value PMA provides to our members and the industry year-round.”
PMA said in a statement that Stark’s appointment comes at a time when the organisation is seeking to bring the industry to the world’s attention.
Stark will be responsible for bringing stories of the produce and floral industries to the forefront of global conversations through his new role.
“The evolution of digital channels has given us unlimited tools to share and consume information,” he said. “It is my goal to help PMA serve our members as a trusted voice for and on behalf of our industry. I look forward to working with the team at PMA and with our members.”
