After several months of negotiations, French endives group Perle du Nord has adopted a new functional, operational and commercial organisation, according to Végétable.
The aim of the new organisation is reportedly to supply the market with a better-coordinated and more attractive offering.
From 1 December, the Perle du Nord Group, presided over by Hugues Moilet, will see its area of operations refocused on newly formed producer organisations (OPs).
Recognised as an AOP (association of producer organisations), the Group will combine 300 producer members from six producer organisations: Marché de Phalempin, France Endive, Primacoop, Cap Endives, Valois Fruit and Sipema (Marché de St Omer).
The six OPs will reportedly sign exclusive sales contracts with the Group’s subsidiary, Perle du Nord, which is responsible for managing the Perle du Nord brand and products, as well as adding as much value as possible.
