Rewe-owned Austrian retailer Penny has released details of a week-long guarantee to consumers regarding the availability of a range of fresh fruit and vegetables across its network of some 290 stores.
Of the roughly 70 fruit and vegetable products that are on sale in Penny's outlets, over 40 seasonal products fall under the scheme, which guarantees availability even shortly before closing in the evening.
According to Penny, the range of produce included in the offer covers fruit from apples to pineapples, through to salad products, root vegetables and even nuts.
'Penny clients can save up to 23 per cent on their fruit and vegetable need when they regularly come to Penny instead of other supermarkets,' said Penny's Ulf Klewitz.
