Oxxo, the largest network of convenience stores in Latin America, has reported a 20 per cent increase in sales to 16.1m pesos.
The retail chain, which comprised 8,621 stores at the end of March, recorded a 21 per cent surge in operating income to 777m pesos after opening 1,129 net new stores in the last 12 months.
Oxxo's owner, Fomento Economico Mexicano, saw its Q1 profit increase 10 per cent on the back of Oxxo's sales gains.
