French marketer Prim'land intends to further the reputation is of its already hihgly regaraded kiwifruit brand, Oscar, at next week's Asia Fruit Logistica exhibition in Hong Kong.
'Asia Fruit Logistica is the annual event for fruit and vegetable professionals in Asia,' says managing director Jean Baptiste Pinel. 'As France’s leading kiwifruit in Asia over the last 20 years, Oscar has been at the trade fair for many years now. It’s a great opportunity to meet the majority of Asian distributors and to put new commercial partnerships in place. And for the 2014 edition, we have a special surprise for our visitors!'
According to Pinel, Prim'land's customers in Asia appreciate the flavour and consistency of the quality of Oscar kiwifruit, a major reason for the product's impressive growth in recent years.
For the 2014/15 season, the company expects to market 20,000 tonnes of kiwifruit, more than 35 per cent on the Asian market.
