Oppenheimer

The Oppenheimer Group has announced in a press release the addition of sales representative Peter Cole to its Tampa, Florida, office.

Mr Cole replaces the recently retired Ken McGinnis, who marketed Oppenheimer products throughout the south-eastern US since 1999 as part of an industry career spanning more than 20 years.

At Oppenheimer, Mr Cole will market a full range of products to retail, wholesale, and food service customers in the Southeast. His early focus will be on imported kiwifruit, apples and pears, as well as Oregon cherries.

“Oppenheimer’s excellent reputation for quality is well known in the industry, and I am looking forward to helping bring its full product line to market,” explained Mr Cole.

Mr Cole joined the company on 19 May, bringing with him a wide-ranging expertise (in procurement, operations, logistics, merchandising and sales) gained over eight years of industry experience.

Before recently returned to his home state of Florida to work in an inventory and port operations capacity for Fresh Quest in Plantation, Mr Cole spent 2009 overseeing sourcing, merchandising and pricing for retail outlets managed by Coast Produce, Los Angeles.

Between 2002 and 2008, Mr Cole held numerous roles at Rosemont Farms in Boca Raton, Fla., most recently serving as an account manager for vegetable, melon, and berry sales in south Georgia and central Florida.

Previously, Mr Cole worked as a repack manager and in quality control.
