Nunhems' Vicente Navarro has been named as the new chairman of the vegetable and ornamental crop section board of the International Seed Federation (ISF).
The announcement of Navarro's appointment was made at the recent World Seed Congress, which took place in Athens, Greece. He takes over the section’s board chairman position from Anton van Doornmalen, former sales director and still co-owner of Rijk Zwaan.
“I am honoured to accept this new assignment,” said Navarro. “Our industry is heading for a bright future, but it’s not without challenges. It is important that we stand and work together towards solid operational and legal standards, and I am looking forward to contributing my share to this.”
Navarro holds the role of managing director for strategy and staff at Nunhems, the vegetable seed business of Bayer CropScience.
